Founded online in 2007, Rebekah’s Health & Nutrition opened its first retail store in Lapeer in 2010 and has since grown to serve four Michigan communities. For nearly 20 years, Rebekah Spencer has helped families navigate natural wellness with greater clarity, confidence and personal support. What began as a small online business—and later a welcoming Lapeer storefront—has grown significantly, but the promise at its heart has never changed: to provide quality products, trusted education and genuine human connection.
She turned her own questions into a place where others could ask theirs.
For nearly 20 years, Rebekah has been on a personal journey to better understand health and wellness. Through her own experiences, she began studying nutrition, natural health and the ways everyday choices can support whole-person well-being.
That education changed the course of her life. Rebekah became a Holistic Health Practitioner, NES Health Practitioner and Reiki Master, while continuing to learn, teach and share the knowledge she gained along the way. Her goal has always been to make wellness information easier to understand, more approachable and accessible to the people who need it.
Rebekah’s Health & Nutrition began as an online business in 2007. In 2010, she opened the first retail location in Lapeer—a small, welcoming store where customers could slow down, ask questions, compare products and speak with someone who would genuinely listen. Today, that same personal, education-first philosophy continues to guide every Rebekah’s Health & Nutrition location.

2007 · Lapeer
The first small, cozy storefront opened in Rebekah’s home community, pairing a thoughtfully selected product range with education and personal service.

2017–2020 · Four stores
Grand Blanc joined the family in 2017, Clarkston in 2019 and Lake Orion in 2020. Each store developed its own local community while sharing the same standards and spirit.

Classes, health fairs, practitioner events, local makers, product demonstrations and the Wellness Source turn the stores into places to keep learning—not simply places to shop.

Rebekah’s regularly opens its doors to local practitioners, educators, makers and curious neighbors.
Health and wellness fairs introduce visitors to practitioners and hands-on demonstrations. Classes have covered subjects ranging from label reading and herbal traditions to sourdough baking and beekeeping. Seasonal markets create space for local food and artisan businesses. The common thread is practical education delivered face to face.
This community model gives beginners a comfortable place to ask questions and longtime wellness shoppers new ideas to explore. It also keeps more knowledge, relationships and dollars circulating close to home.

Family, faith, nature and a life of continued learning.
She and her husband, Mark, now enjoy life in their new home, where time outdoors, tending bees and being close to nature provide a quieter rhythm. Mark is a beekeeper, bee-school instructor and former President and Vice President of the Seven Ponds Bee Club. He is also the owner of Spencer’s Honey, where he shares his knowledge of beekeeping and helps educate others about the importance of bees, pollinators and the many gifts of the hive.
Travel, family and the natural world continue to inspire Rebekah’s curiosity. She brings those experiences back to the stores through new ideas, thoughtful questions and a belief that wellness is not a finish line, but a lifelong practice.
